The worst thing to ever come out of Austria. An utterly joyless slog. Emotional torture porn. Any reprieve from the never ending discomfort is reversed by awkward fourth wall breaking bullshit. Can't say anything good about the movie, except that it was competently shot. Would suggest to absolutely no one. Fuck Europe.

@josh interesting your first Funny Games experience was the original Austrian version. The English version is a shot-for-shot remake which is interesting because Haneke designed this movie so that you shouldn't be able to sit through it, but the Austrian version features actors from his other movies for those very specific roles.
