My dock arrived, and they only gave me half a power adapter :senko_cry:

@fristi what
what does that mean
does it have like the other end chopped off or something??
or is it a clean chop through half of it?

@congalala no, I got the adapter, but without the cable for plugging it into the power socket. So just the brick and the end that plugs into the dock itself. I even paid extra to get a power adapter with it, you'd think they'd give you a complete adapter.

@congalala @zaun @a1batross a ground pin isn't required, just very useful in case your shit shorts out.
@congalala @a1batross @zaun (the same thing applies here too, for instance the upper floors in houses here usually have sockets without ground connectors)
@zaun @a1batross @congalala it isn't. Not all devices here come with a plug that has ground connectors, such as basic lamps and stuff.

Ground is only recommended on complex devices that need it to help regulate their internal power (such as computers), and only mandatory on devices that actively use it for a particular purpose and couldn't function without it (such as surge protectors).
