Remember, AF’s pitch was basically serious guys in suits who purged the weirdos and knew how to be savvy. What did they actually do? Push the importance of incel identity, extremely online irony, and do a form of performative Catholicism that is alienating to Protestant America. White ethnic Catholics are 10 percent of the population at best. Charlie is an evangelical. Yeah he’s got handlers and he’s a careerist but he saw these guys leaving the gates wide open for him. And the best part is they’ll flatter themselves that they “Redpilled” Charlie and he doesn’t have to give them anything or acknowledge them.
