Like it's looked down upon by other people, because you show an interest in a culture other than your own? What is wrong with that? Personally, my main interest in Japan is all the food.

Now, "weeb" as far as I know, is referring to the anime obsessed nerd types. Not someone who just likes Japan. It's the guys who wank it to hentai all the time.

@shebang @Eidolon0 Weeb was originally just a nonsense word with no meaning, so even now that it actually has a meaning, pinning down an exact definition is hard. It can mean anything from "person who watches anime sometimes" to "hardcore wannabe otaku who fetishizes japanese culture and genuinely believes it is exactly how anime depicts", and anything in between, depending on who you ask.
