I like fedi because it gives me a place that doesn't get inundated with replyguys
it's literally the only place that I can have this kind of security, but by federating with people who have really lax moderation policies, I open up me and everyone on my instance to harassment, and I don't want to take the chance lmao

if someone from your instance interacts with my posts, and someone fashy follows them, they'll be coming into my replies anyway, even if you handle local content different than remote content on your own server.
I don't like to take the risk, because there's so little value in me "debating" with the fash. All it does is make my day worse lmao
I like to not deal with it whenever possible.
