Judge Dredd is supposed to be commentary on the police state but every time I see him handle somebody I'm just like "that was done properly". Maybe if you want to comment on the police state have Dredd rape kids like a real cop instead of taking on dangerous filthy criminals who are so evil his brutality becomes justified.

I feel like calling Dredd a commentary on the police state is an excuse to look like some kind of an intellectual while you print ultraviolence, because Dredd doesn't do things like rape. Dredd is not presented as a commentary, cautionary, he is presented as a badass.
