high, debilitating fevers? yes, absolutely. it's almost like being drunk, you end up in some weird semi-dream state

Then I spilled cold water all over myself and snapped out of it

fevers aren't gonna kill you these days but the biggest danger is overheated brain, and moving around in that state without assistance so you end up tripping or hitting stuff and hurting yourself bad.

i forget the temp, but there's a point where your brain literally just says "i'm too fucking hot, shut down all systems" and then you die. and while a fever ain't gonna reach that high, it's one of the biggest dangers on submarines or boats when there's a fire, people just drop unconscious and die from overheating.

or punch the wall and yell until someone comes to help
