I don't know about some of the casting and wardrobe choices for Wednesday. Like, I just don't get Gomez from the guy playing Gomez. That actor is the fat funny guy, always has been. That just isn't Gomez. Gomez is supposed to be basically perfect. Well groomed, fit, romantic, put together. Everybody should want to fuck Gomez, be Gomez, or both, just like everybody should want to fuck or be Morticia. They're supposed to be the perfect couple, more or less. Morticia is close enough, but Not Gomez

It's a much smaller complaint, but Pugsley's hair was a bit too long.

I could also do without the patriarchy bullshit. Like, she literally castrated someone in the first episode, men aren't in charge of shit.

Oh, and the snap thing. They should have kept the snap thing. It isn't the Addams family without the snap thing. Even if this is just Wednesday, and not about the whole family, they need the snap thing.

They kinda kept the snap thing. I don't like how they did. But they did. Like, it's supposed to be an Addams thing, not a secret society thing. And it's supposed to be compulsion. Other people should snap and not know why.

I do like that they made Uncle Lester's first name Mo. You know, him going to prison for "eating a girl scout for breakfast".

Gomez wouldn't have the slightest trouble in a fight against some random angry person with a sword. He could, and would, win with his eyes closed. He would get pushed against the ropes, he wouldn't struggle, and he wouldn't accidentally kill someone. He'd either do it on purpose, or more likely just hold the sword at their throat after disarming them in less than a second.

Morticia also wouldn't go to the police if someone was stalking her. She'd straight up murdle the dude. There wouldn't be any "you don't know what it's like to not be believed" bullshit, because he'd be fuckin dead. Not after trying to murder a whole bunch of people, as soon as he started stalking.

At least they got Fester the Mo Lester right. He's cannonly a paraphile. I mean, Necrophilia isn't my bag of tea, but how many characters are openly into something like that, and not a bad guy or something? That and he's honest about sexuality with Wednesday. He basically told her straight up he watched her parents fuck.

@Sudodeme I liked how they hinted at that in the revival animated movie a few years back, like this, opening of the trenchcoat is clearly a joke about flashing, love it, hilarious, no moralizing like "omg Fester you've crossed the line", the family is cool with it because Fester is harmless.
