Discord's number verification
It's been days and Discord won't let me sms verify my account.
I don't like linking personal numbers to people I can't trust, like Discord's staff. So I use sms services to log in. No problems up until now - it just plain refuses to recognise the numbers.
To everyone who's wondered if I've disappeared, I haven't. Just dealing with IRL stuff and this phone verification nonsense.
Anyone know a way around this?

There's an article online somewhere of someone using Brave's search filter to specifically search for SMS free numbers added most recently. He found that every number worked until it didn't and then he'd just repeat the search and use the most recent result. I think I'm gonna try that and see how it goes. If it's sustainable then I'll add it into my routine.
I also heard other people bypassing it with a Matrix-Discord bridge. If true, then that's great because I love matrix.
I'll prolly do that at some point. I'll come back here and post results for anyone else having this issue.
We shouldn't have to sell our souls to companies, venture capital and government agencies just to use basic services. It's positively Orwellian.
