If the government stopped being evil (however you define that) and only did YOUR values, meaning they did what YOU wanted, not even through your control, they just coincidentally got on the same fucking page you were, would you be a simp for the government? Would you love them more? Would you suddenly feel like not-an-outsider and actually want to put in your fair share to serve your community? Instead of hating it and hoping it collapses?
@AlienSkyler they basically turn into just super nice people, who are going all over the place helping everybody they can, and they're never mean, and they're never not nice
like i feel like you're trying to figure out who just wants to burn everything down for the sake of doing that and not because of specific harm, and i don't want to be that kind of person, i hate the government because of all the suffering they cause when they could just not
but even your description of "people go around helping people and are literally nice all the time" in theory that's exactly what i want to happen but i cannot get a mental image of it in my head that doesn't seem sinister
maybe it's just because of seeing so many people who are all sweetness and light on the surface but underneath are really abusive and manipulative
so your description just makes me picture people using coercion and gaslighting being like "no, what do you mean, we're nice silly, this is to help you" and it's probably just because i'm traumatized but i can't imagine anyone not being like that unless they are just not in a position of power
@AlienSkyler yeah I know I get that too my mental image/fear of that scenario is really smiley people with happy face badges who have redefined everything to be whatever they want it to be so if you're breathing too hard they define that as bad and define good as killing you and then they kill you with a smile and they're like we did a good thing and all the other brainwashed people clap and go yay that was good but really they're all just insane.
The good version of this is, just imagine Star Trek TNG, everybody acts like Star Trek TNG, they're all reasonable and nice pretty much all the time and deal with things as a team.
if they stopped capitalist exploitation and made sure everyone had housing, food, medical care, and threw away their murder death machines, and everything like that, i guess i wouldn't hate them the way i do but i also wouldn't recognize them as "the government" so i guess my answer would depend on whether they just pretty much disbanded themselves and became obsolete or if the power structure was still in place and they weren't currently doing anything bad but it was set up so their future successors could if they wanted to
