My mother and father know no cultural dances, they know no cultural songs, they can play no instruments, they do not sing, there's something very wrong with my and many other families.

It doesn't even have to be dance or song that ancestors did, it could be something wholely original, but it has to be shared. They share nothing. My parents, my family, shares nothing. There are no shared songs, no shared dances, nobody knows any inside jokes, just simpletons and their paperwork and their "responsibilities" (seems to me turning workable farmland into crops is a "responsibility" but what do I know)
If you were out there croppin, the way you should be, you'd save so much money you'd have time for dances
