@camedei456 @kaia @fgaz I wish they had chosen a different term, like "initialization", I read a little bit about it now and it looks like it used to be called bootstrapping, and again, if I was a peer among them at the time I would have shaken my head autistically and furiously stated that this has nothing to do with footwear

In fact here’s a typical windows business card. You may need a bigger wallet though
to be "booting" would mean that there's data that could be used with no operating system on that computer.
Most Linux distros are bootable. So are Windows installer discs.
