When I see antis bitching about "social contagion" and "satanic trannies", it makes me think I would laugh my ass off if they got their throats slit. (I do not condone or advocate for violence).
at its core, satanism is about free will, while christianity is all "obey the big daddy and nevermind the fact he doesnt actually tell you what to do, we tell you how to do things for him"
@bitterblossom Many Satanists are straight up assholes though. Levayan satanism is literally hateful toward anyone disabled, they believe in eigenics, and are racists, but that all gets swept under the rug because since they oppose christians everyone assumes they must be hippies.
imo a lot of self proclaimed satanists are just edgy mofos jumping in on the crazy bandwagon bc ots cool and they hate christianity.
i dont doubt there are a lot of assholes under that demographic, it kinda goes with the territory when the surface level of your religion is worshipping the prince of lies and sin, etc.
satan/lucifer is just the first angel that actually questioned the order of things in heaven, spoke out for human rights, and got slapped for it; yet hes still a part of god and gods plan and all that so the zealots are overhyping how bad he really is.
@bitterblossom I'm still not sure where that part of the myth came from, in Judaism satan (literally The Satan, similar to calling someone The Lawyer or The Prosecutor) was a loyal angel to God who prosecuted humans with charges against them. We don't even know if it was one guy, or just a title for whatever angel was Prosecutor at any given time.
