@ThrowawayAI at the risk of sounding like I know a thing or two, suites come in a verity of different styles and cuts and like most higher end things tries an eye for detail.
I do not like suits because they are restrictive, however culturally they excuse control (of oneself as much as others), wealth, and power (association).
They're also really comfy if you're not greatly physically active and they ARE quite weather resistant actually.

@bloop @ThrowawayAI Not trying to dox myself but there's clothes makers now who are doing new things, giving old styles new folds and stitchings/materials to give way more mobility in the shoulders. In theory a person could make a fighting suit, a suit someone could do gymnastics in with no problem like binding up, it's just that there's not a big market for it so it's only custom jobs or niche makers here and there.

@Jazzy_Butts @ThrowawayAI that is true, but let's be honest, outside the secret service and similar groups a suit isn't supposed to be particularly practical any more than a ball gown was supposed to be practical.
A suit is social armor, a way of covering status and presumed success to give the wearer more authority and respect without necessarily having to prove themselves.
Like it or not clothing is as much for social purposes as practical.
