I don't like to play 40 hour games anymore. I like a good 6-10 hour game, 20 hours max. I want to finish it in 1-2 days, 3 on the outside if it's exceptional. There's no game out there that is consistently good for longer than that. Anything over 20 hours generally has bloat, grindy busywork tasks that I don't find enjoyable or rewarding anymore.

@Aogami Super mario Bros is one of the greatest games of all time for this reason

@Jazzy_Butts I tend to go for more story-focused games, but I do agree. Mario games tend to introduce and iterate on new challenges with each stage and are well designed that way. But like Mario 64 ain't no way I'm getting all the stars y'know?

@Aogami I agree 64 is overrated but the first game is bliss, simple little pixel man and his green twin brother

@Jazzy_Butts ig I just don't have the patience or attention span anymore. I used to dump hundreds of hours into games, probably b/c I only had one or two new ones at a time. Now my time is at a premium, new stuff is always grabbing for my attention. Three days or so is usually all a game gets before I lose interest and find something else.
