@Zest BRO BEFORE THE ANTI CHILD NUCLEAR PURGE I WAS FUCKING AS ARGUING WITH PEOPLE TELLING THEM TO GO FUCK THEMSELVES UNDER BARNEY VIDEOS WHEN THEY'D GIVE BARNEY HATE. I have no idea why people hate on Barney so much, this was when vote ratios were still visible too and ALL the Barney videos were like 50/50 RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE which is so rare, like I didn't know people were so fucking divided on Barney, I looked into if there were any controversies when it was airing that have been memory holed but the closest I came to anything substantial was that the person who did Barney later went on to become a tantric sex specialist, and so I can only assume that conservitards deep in the know hate this and they hate Barney's overall message of Love because Barney is secular and not religious and those motherfuckers want that entire market cornered, they get pissy as fuck any time any one else takes kids eyes off whatever the current cultures current most popular religious beliefs are. That's why right now the establishment is getting pissy about "progressive" ideas, even though this has been their stupid asshole big brother MO since Cain killed Abel but I digress, the motherfuckers, they don't want nobody fuckin with kids heads unless it's them, and they define fucking with kids heads as informing them on the natural world using linguistics alone. Back in my day (what? It's supposed to be my day now? Shut up I'm uncing here!) And by my day I mean childhood inn the late 90s early 00s, kids said barney was for babies and mocked me for likeing it. Looking back on it, it was clearly not for babies but actually kids my age and a bit older. The main theme was navigating social situations and conflict resolution. Only problem is I never got to practice the skills from the show because every kid I met was either a cruel asshole or just went along with whatever I said to the point we never had any complex interactions or conflict to resolve.
