My GM seems like a nice guy but he needs to ease off of the virtue signaling. He could have just told us, "I know we as a nation is going through some tough times so if you need some one to talk to you can speak to me or our counseling service". I did not need to know that you protest for and donate to BLM or that unfriended people on facebook because they think mask mandates are stupid.
They are right, mask mandates are stupid because cloth masks don't provide protection from Covid-19. You can read the disclaimer on the mask's packaging and it will tell you that it does not. The gaps in the woven threads are too big and allows particles to come through. "But muh droplets." Covid-19 is airborne. That stuff can spread by someone breathing. Droplets are the least of your worries.
Medical grade paper masks are designed to keep stuff from coming out and does not do much for things coming in. Also the effectiveness of these masks decreases every time you breathe because the moisture from you breath dampens the mask. Once the mask gets wet, it is over because bacteria sticks to it. This is why doctors frequently changes these mask out, but we the public are asked to reuse them. lol
The only masks that might be effective against Covid are P95 and P100. Good luck finding them. Also don't forget the eye shield since Covid can enter into the eyes.

@DuchessOfMars I thought it was kinda common knowledge that common masks are more for protecting others than for protecting yourself.
@mewmew Some people don't know that. They think a mask will shield themselves from Covid and they don't bother to do other safety measures like social distancing or keeping your hands away from your face and mask.
