Suicide is about the suffering the person is going through. I don't care just how good do you think his future might be at one point, he is suffering so muchnow, that there is no happyness left. And the worst part is, that there is usually no reason to believe, that it will end soon... or ever to that matter.
Well, I know what it is to be suffering psychological abuse for 10 years, and I can tell you, that it just pisses me off, when someone keeps saying bs like 'it will get better' or 'other people will be sad'.
Because all I hear from these limes is 'I don't care how much do you suffer, I will not even consider it. Your mom's 10 minutes of big sad are much more important to me, then anythimg she did or will do to you yet.'
Of corse things did eventually get better, but that does not change anything. I still did go through it all. So if someone I know does consider suicide, I will be the first person to hand them a knife.

And btw, gaming and other escapist consumption is still in fact from my experience the single best anti-depressive on the market.
I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but often things do get better, in that you get used to them, at least if it's about today's society and such.
People on their twenties are often far too quick to pull the trigger.
But I guess I have no right to talk, because I never was suicidal. In a sense, I always lived for the consumption of media. In my defense though: I'm self-aware about it.
