I still remember the single best interview.
It was for a HUGE company. I got dressed up, solved SQL quarries in front of a team of intervievers, It was not good, but I still had a chance.
Then, I asked the forbidden question. How much?
They offered less then I was already making in a shop. So, I just said "no way".
The way they all stopped and their faces deformed is unforgetable. The girl who was calm until now was totally unable to speak all of a sudden, when she realized she had nothing to offer to me. And I just enjoyed the rest of interview, since I got nothing to loose, while they all were shaking for some reason. ![]()

I know. It is a total waste of time, but it's not my fault they're afraid to write a number to the job offers.
But in here, most job offers don't include it, and you will learn it usually as the verry last thing before you accept the job.
I guess it gives them more options, but it's dumb anyway.
