It also means that stock market does not really generate ANY value.

What they do is collect money from inexperienced investors who see graph going up, imagine it will go up further and buy. Then when the graph falls, these same inexperienced investors sell immediately, making the transfer complete.

not really true

of course there are inexperience retail players, but there are many very experienced traders

the market is another way, in addition to loans, in which companies can acquire capital to expand, bulid more production capacity, produce more goods, hire more people, fund more pension funds...

Would you care to explain?

Selling the company shares is the function allowing "further growth". I know...

But what kind of value is generated by the secondary stock market itself?

@LukeAlmighty @andreas

not sure what you mean by secondary stock market,

a secondary offering is a second issuance of stock, after the initial ipo, to acquire more capital,

which can be used for the same purposes, wisely or not, as the first offering.

@EMPEROR @andreas@neckbeard.xyz
Ok, i got that word wrong... You obviously do know more about it then I do. :kekw: So please, do trust me that I am interested in your educated opinion.

Selling company stock is just another way of getting money to support it's growth. One, that could be easilly done by loans with much lesser long term risk and while keeping the ownership.

Is there anything important about the value of the shares themselves for the company as a system generating profit, or is it just completelly separated system of company "trading cards"?

"One, that could be easilly done by loans with much lesser long term risk and while keeping the ownership"

incorrect

a loan can be called in by the lender at any time, and the loan will require the borrow puts up collateral, like his own property. so a bank loan is not the preferred method of raising money. there is risk with both ways of acquiring capital, but the loan is riskier.

"or is it just completelly separated system of company "trading cards"?"

a share of a company is an ownership piece of the company. you own that amount. it is not trading cards, but shares can be bought and sold by members of the pubic at exchanges
