what happens when there is a tournament in school? Everyone can do their best, but all it takes to invalidate your effort is for the teacher to say:

Now, this round will be for 5 times the points
or any other last minute rule change. Because they do decide the rules, and merit is not what they want to measure...

And they do this for their ego... Why woudn't people do it for billions? Dor power over lifes of peasants?
