I would like to ask what do you think about riding scandals on stock market.

Let's say that that I see some event that I know will not affect productivity of a company in the slightest. For example Elon Musk smoking a joint on a podcast. If I see a sudden drop in stock price as a result of such BS, do you think it's wise to just buy the stock hoping it will grow back in one or two months yealding 10 or more percent ROI in that short time?

(Yes, I do realize, that this is still just a gambling, but do you think it might be a good strategy?)

@LukeAlmighty That's literally what value investing is. You're taking advantage of the market reacting to ever-tiny-thing, but also taking advantage of people's short attention span.

There's nothing wrong with it, but I wouldn't make it the center of your portfolio.

Thank you. I have no real experience with investing so far, so I just wanted to make sure I got my theory right before I try this thing.
