My boss asked me how do I feel about a raise I got.
I enthusiastically said it was amazing.
She seemed surprised, and kinda confused said: "did you realy need that money"?
What? why would she ask that? Why would she be surprised? I am so confused.

Well, I do dress and spend as if I was in debt 
So I guess she might be starting to get the right idea.
Sounds like that your Boss is jelly of you that she didn't get the raise instead.
