I know this isn't a good situation, but:
If you are against normal child work
And agains this child work

Do you realy think them starving to death is the better option?

@LukeAlmighty You can acknowledge that children prostituting themselves is awful without elevating starvation as the "better alternative."

Both are terrible outcomes and neither should be happening. The point is that children (and adults) like this need better options instead of being forced to choose between these two.

My point is, that I consider laws against child labour as intrinsically immoral.

If these kids could work at Mc Donalds, many of them would.

@LukeAlmighty @Terfest__Shadow the thing is, there is no need whatsoever for any children starving to death because there are systems to help them. At least, in the developed world. This comes from child protective services, general social services, welfare systems, and many more.

@Raunchel @Terfest__Shadow
So, you will give them a pre-alocated ammount of stolen money. Great idea.

Not only does it make them dependent, unable to move beyond your arbitraty number, but it doesn't help them in any way that their owners do not find fit for financing.

Congatulation. You created a new slave class. They belong to the government now just because you were afraid they might improve their lives on their own.

@Raunchel @Terfest__Shadow
Not to mention, that there are people who are not below your arbitrary support line, who still need more money and part time job is the solution. A kid needs to start saving up for university or just to move out or take a girl out.

Nah... they are too young. They don't have right to improve their lives... :blob_facepalm:

@LukeAlmighty @Terfest__Shadow how would they be slaves when they get the support they need not to starve, drop out of school, or things like that. Of course. Most jobs kids can get are pretty bad in multiple ways. They're hilariously poorly paid, have bad working conditions, and take up time that's much better spent on things like school.

@Raunchel @Terfest__Shadow
How are they slaves? They cannot earn money and you decide exactly how much they get, what they can use it on and how exactly are they supposed to spend their time.

Damn, you're evil...
