@enigmatico Good luck avoiding either Apple or Google in the Mobile Space though. Alternatively one could still use mastodon on iOS, but just in a browser, which is good enough to work
@Stefan I don't need the good luck, I just need a Pinephone or something that doesn't run Android or iOS or Winblows phone. It's that easy.
@enigmatico From experience I can tell you that a pinephone comes with mayor tradeoffs. Though for masto or pleroma-use it is fine I guess.
@Stefan Phones are for calling and for communication, and that's how it should always have been. I don't see any trade offs if it work for said purpose. If I can avoid the ICU wiretapping me with it, it's welcome even if I can't use any fancy "apps" or play crappy games in the subway.

This is so sad.
Phones are strong enougg to contain the entire library from your childhood, but just because people don't care for that potential, we have this useless shot, that can be barely used for communication.
