@DrChris 48% of parents are below average intelligence...that's the worse part of this. People in the media aren't truthful, and a lot of people don't understand how to think about this.

Wrong.
Even in normal circumstances, 50 percent of people would be below average in everything, including intelligence.
But, since our big brains force us to run many simulations instead of just following the need to breed, there are many more dumb parents then smart ones.
