In stargate, there was one mercenary, who I remember even after many years of not watching the show.
He was under the rule of Goa'uld, but he did not believe in them. On the contrary he hated them. But, they were suplying with a drug, that he would die without. A drug, that they mad him adicted to in the first place.
Wow... What a good show. Shame I don't know what episode that was from.
