I’m not from poast or noagenda and I don’t get what you’re talking about. If you’re making some greater statement about corporate greed… that’s just it.. it’s corporate as in… it’s not up to any one individual to make a moral decision to stop making junk food. McDonald’s is a publicly traded company with no social obligation and one purpose, increase profits/shareholder value. This just reinforces the argument that we can’t simply leave things to the market and we need government intervention.

I also think your example of a “healthy breakfast” was silly and Sabex, as much as I disagree with him is right. You don’t have to buy it. If anybody working for McDonald’s has any feelings of guilt (unlike because they’re just a small cog in a big machine) that argument is there. Nobody has to buy it. Especially because McDonald’s isn’t even a monopoly. Fuck… go to a bakery or a cafe or something. Or make your own breakfast.

I happen to like McDonald’s though. Cope.

The same thing applies, because of it's corporate nature. Do you think the beleaguered teenagers that staff a McDonald's restaurant have any control over how a corporate franchise is run?
