Except that is what I covered in response. They lying on floor will not avert any risk. And wearing a mask will do next to nothing too.
And even a little kid will tell you, that 4 walls and a firewall will protect you from covid better then a thin cloth.

I do offer out, but definitelly not on a societal scale.
As I said, I think, that in order to show a dumb person what he says, you have to SLOWLY go steges of what each action they do will cause.
I do not think (most of them) are evil, I just believe, that they are incapable to see the law -> murder chain of reactions. That's it.
And this protest is a perfect example. If instead of immediate action, they used their brain for 10s, they would come up to the conclusion, that online classes are way safer then masks. But they are stupid, and they saw a shiny new cause to protest for.
Again, this isn't really related to cognitive abilities but to general neuroticism and crowdthink. Or maybe these particular kids are in fact retarded, but this doesn't mean everyone else is. My point still holds.
For what it's worth, my problem with your argumentum ad retardum is it doesn't provide any way out. You can't suddenly make everyone smart. However, you could make a sizable portion of the population less prone to fear and doubtful of their government. It just takes time.
