Defense should ask the question if the HD video exist in any format. While the tape may have been destroyed, an electronic copy e.g. mp4 file could very well still exist.
Nobody uses tape for anything any more, everything is stored in electronic format in datacenters. “Tape doesn’t exist” is exactly the scumbag evasive answer I expect from the feds.

Destroyed evidence is in criminal court MUCH better then no or real evidence.
Because if you are supposed to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, nothing says some doubt more then destroyed evidence.
But that is only for criminal court. In case of clown court, nothing is going to help. And US criminal system is a lot on the clownish side.

The true problem is, that the old system of "whitness protection" no longer works. People on the entire globe know his face, so no matter how innocent he is, no matter where he's released, all he needs is to meet one antifa dipshit, and he will be attacked again.
