The theory of stupid people seems at it's face ridiculous, but I ca prove at least one aspect.

Stupidity is NOT related to inteligence. We can have a practicing scientist who is making scientific progress being so stuck on the idea of a scammer collecting money for his main project, that he spends months of his time making hours and HOURS worhth of videos that each provide about 10s of new educational material.

Elon is colecting GRANT MONEY that would go to other stupid projects anyway, and uses them to push 2 OTHER projects, that ARE REAL. He restarted space race and he pushed electric cars into mainstream.

It is simple. Do you want the money to go to solar roadways or hyperloop? Hint: Hyperloop means SpaceX, while Solar roadways mean hookers for some now rich idiot and a few panels, that break after 1 week.
