Watching GTA definitive edition gameplay. Although I agree that rockstar completely dropped the ball and that it looks like shit I also have come to the realization that GTA fucking sucks.

They were the best open world in the market at the time...
Don't be too critical, since nowdays, most mainstream games are open world, so that part is no longer a selling point.
@LukeAlmighty that's true. They were definitely groundbreaking and I'm not trying to diminish that. I guess I'm just not a fan of the genre.

I am not either... In my opinion, the GTA games have a SEVERE lack of open-ended content. That is why out of all GTA games, the only one I truly enjoyed was GTA online solo server.
Because in GTA online, I could grind to earn and build something... But GTA games are story mission focused, and that gets boring REALY fast to me.
