It seems now that many members of governments around the world have lost their grip on reality and have chased themselves down the rabbit hole of psychosis. They've embraced their delusions and antagonise anyone who opposes them. It's going to be awesome content for historians of the future, just a shame we have to live through it now.

@HitterNeverQuitter What's interesting about this time is it isn't motivated by simple greed or dismissive abusiveness as this sort of thing usually is. This time it's motivated by the powerful getting high on their own propaganda supply

I've reached the same conclusion. But some part of me hopes thez aren't "that stupid", but it all makes sense, if one billionare is not informed about psy-ops of others.

@LukeAlmighty I think that a lot of this has to do with pride too. They don't want to admit that a bunch of proles with Asperger's on the computer called bullshit on their plans. Should they partly believe their own propaganda, and partly understand why others are rejecting it, and that cognitive dissonance is causing them to freak out and quadruple down over and over again

I think that being bluntly told that they aren't trusted and these institutions they set up that are supposed to be the ultimate sources of Truth are getting blown off at best and actively besmirched if there's a doubling down, which there is. People are digging up all of the dirt from past decades on things like the FDA, and Pfizer, and whoever else, and going "we don't have to trust this. You argued that we do have to trust this. Your case for this jab is invalid. Your legitimacy as governments is contingent on your taking this L."

I can speak for Australia that in the state of Victoria there is a mountain of ego steering our course. The government made mistake after mistake last year and could be held liable for deaths under laws they introduced. So they've had to double down and constantly assert they've taken the right course. At some point they started buying their own bullshit and things got worse from there.

People were calling them out for it last year but were suppressed and intimidated. Because of all the doubling down we now have covid camps, every other state has copied our inhumane practices and the population has been pitted against itself. There are days where I have trouble believing that all this has really happened because it's so far from the norm we might as well be in a different reality.
