Aren't you much less safe outside, when tornado is around at night?

Thank you. The srongest tornado I ever saw was 10cm high, so I had no idea.
@LukeAlmighty @genetic_failure when a tornado hits, it pretty much flips to night right away.
As for relative safety, depends on the building. You want to be in a reinforced structure.
I once had to drive home in the middle of a tornado. The building didn't have adequate shelter and the storm got too close. My car was barely safer at that point.
