One of my biggest problems with Harry Potter was the fact that Wizards didn't use any technology for really contrived reasons. Like it was just gauche to use anything technological past the 1700s. You really want me to believe some Wizard isn't going to enchant an AK-47 or a M1 Abrams or some shit? I can think of multiple points in the narrative where things would have ended differently if someone at Hogworts was concealed carrying.

Well, everyone was conseal carrying already, so I cannot take that argument.
But there are hundreds of quality of life things, that noone can argue. Brooms are awful. Add a seat and a carrying bag to them FFS. And how about a roof? Do you REALLY want to fly without a roof in rain? How about in blizzard?
