@LukeAlmighty Gen X used to just kick the shit out of each other on a regular basis, when we weren't daring each other to do something stupid. When you grow up in the cold war, you just sort of accepted "shit, could die tomorrow, still, let's make it worth it." Called everyone "fags" and "retards" for simplicity, but when pressed could still explain why based on logic and fallacy one point was superior to the other.

Do not underestimate the power of "new math." When you learn 2-3 ways to solve mathematical equations, you learn order of operation matters, you learn how to 'solve' things logically, and think about what your saying and doing. Then comes "do it this way or it's wrong" math, which just broke the fundamental building blocks of logic and created mindless obedient sheeple.

I blame math more than the boomers white lies. Boomers, well, I'm glad my immediate family skipped a generation. My father was born in the 20s (greatest generation, so it's called), I am GenX and I remember those people clearly, they were not "flower children" hippies of the boomer generation... And "reasoned thought" was still valued when they were being raised (to some extent, but that whole New Deal bullshit propaganda seemed to stick, hard to tell anyone post-war (WWII) that "oh, btw, all that shit we told you, pretend it didn't happen, k?" (and there was shit, I've heard some WWII stories that... it wasn't "glorious," it was horrid).

In the end, I still think "new math" shit broke them more than anything, they can't even realize it's "Truth, Justice, and .." They get order of operations wrong, it's "justice" then "truth" later if it's convenient (for example, the last 2 years of BLM riot shit).
