@eternalclassic Wait, so nitrogen fertilisers and high yield GMOs don't actually make more nutrients?

@applejack @eternalclassic no just more calories which is OK for short term energy needs (you need calories) but not the rest you need.

Calories have becomed a "solved issue" civilization wide. That is a scientific miracle.

But by solving for calories, we've still missed a ton of other stuff, so now, we are fat and sick.

Nutrition is one of the hardest sciences, because you cannot do direct experimentation on a required scale. And even when you're right, noone understands you.

Sorry for ranting for this, but I am quite sick of people just complaining about modern super-foods. It contains enough calories to make us fat as well as it can hold for years without getting spoiled.

That is not a failure. That is an achievement of giantic propositions. We're just not yet sure how to go around the few disadvantages it has.

Immagine, if the first car ever invented had speed limit of 400km/h. Of course people would be complaining about it. IT JUST KEEP ON CRASHING AND FLYING OFF THE ROAD!!!

Of course people would call it a failure :AsukaSmug:

@LukeAlmighty @applejack @eternalclassic sure but most of the science is now in the hands of people who don't want us healthier because it would make it easier for us to revolt. they're aware of what stuff like hyper-concentrated seed oils does and that making sugar too easily obtainable is bad, but they don't care lol.

The commercialization of science is one of the best examples of failed capitalism...

But please, don't tell that to commies. :AsukaSmug:
