There’s a story behind this image. IIRC correctly, a bunch of high school or college athletes won some big game and got invited to the White House. He had some staffer ask what they wanted, and they wanted McDonald’s / fast food. So… he gave it to them.

I, too, recall being a broke 19yo, and getting to sit down and eat 3,000 calories of meat/cheese/bread all at once was a big treat.

Depends on the person, how active they are, and their gender. I say at most two a day. If you have a lot of muscle you might be able to get away with eating more.
