Being a pesimist has nothing to do with being unable to appreciate the few things that are good.
Your perspective of who Musk is as a person depends on whether that perspective is built from the years of fawning press coverage or the journalists that spent months uncovering how he was scamming California for hundreds of millions in subsidies by building a fake battery swapping station to make it seem like Tesla was developing the technology.
@dave
Scamming the government is a service to all tax payers.
Would you rather your money go to a space program or a single mother?
Or the 10s of billions of government kickbacks he got from the Obama administration onward, or the manipulation of his stock by nation states. Or his manipulation of Crypto for his own personal gain, or the financial fraud Tesla committed for over a decade, or the fact that everything he promises to be out in the next few years still doesn’t exist, but once again is used to manipulate his stock price.
It’s the pessimists that have a more accurate understanding of the world though, dude.
