Ukrainians are fighting for their lives, and Russian casualties have been like 2.5x Ukrainian ones. I suspect Russians will get worn out before Ukraine does.
It’s not set in stone, but I’m bullish on Ukraine at this point, although if we don’t see a major Ukrainian counter-offensive by the end of Summer then I won’t be feeling so bullish
@dave I can see this turning into one of those forever wars where there isn’t much direct fighting most of the time and months go by without a skirmish much less a major battle, but everybody’s shit stays mobilized and all the people near the Ukrainian-Russian border stay paranoid, and it just goes on for decades
@LukeAlmighty Russia is trying to turn this into a game of gradually grinding Ukraine down. It may or may not work. I’m leaning toward it not working. But I’ve seen bigger upsets and odder outcomes so I’m not going to place any bets
