There aren't any games for the kernel, Linux I'm pretty sure, but you can indeed run games on GNU/Linux.
More proprietary malware for GNU/Linux doesn't support it, rather it goes against the whole idea of the OS - as the whole idea of GNU/Linux is so you can have a free software OS you can use without giving up your freedom.

Even though none of the following is required at all, the steam software is proprietary, contains spyware and has digital handcuffs, which is not nice behavior at all.
Also I like supporting Valve, they are one of very few companies that I feel are doing their best to support Linux gaming as well as generally not being cunts.
