@dave Maybe the "climate change denyers" are just saying, that without a good energy source, we will not only make the warming worse, put more chems into water etc...
We could say “former climate change deniers” if you prefer. My parents were Republicans in that boat in the 2000s, and now my Dad follows Shellenberger on Twitter. “Pro-nuclear” is the new way to oppose progressives for the people that didn’t believe in climate change because they watched Fox News back in the Rupert Murdoch days.
