I still have no idea why does it work like this, but the fediverse does really feel much more personal.
I guess it's because people are actually talking, instead of just shilling.
On the other hand, I can have 100 friends on FB, but I am seriously afraid to talk to them, and posting publicly is just pointless.

it might be because it's a smaller community
and small community = cozy community
