God referring to Himself in the plural occurs in Genesis 1.

No idea how important, but I still needed to mention it.
The royal plural usage is pretty easily challenged by other things in the Bible, like how God rules "among the Gods." In that same chapter it says that we are gods and are "children of the most high" but shall fall like men.
