This is a great joke, but hard to interpret if you’re not familiar with basic philosophy concepts.

For those who don’t get it, the Ship of Theseus is a musing that relates to the broader question of identity over time. If you have a classic wooden sailing ship, known as the Ship of Theseus, which has been in service for such a length of time that every item (sails, hull, etc.) has been replaced, is it still the Ship of Theseus? Even though “Ship of Theseus” now refers to something that shares no parts with what “Ship of Theseus” used to be?

As it relates to this meme, it’s the “my brother in christ, you made the sandwich” meme in some ways, but shares none of the original text or meaning.

And I am tired as hell of these memes. Yes, they are nothing but word memes with 0 explanatory value, and infinite reusability as a mental masturbation concept.

Saying "the cat is dead and alive" does not mean you understand quantum physics. I don't understand quantum physics. But I know it has nothing to do with cats.
