It absolutely does, because you are in denial about the fact that such a time WILL come, and everything you've ever done, known, loved, or hated, will be GONE.
Everything you do right now is meaningless. You distract yourself every moment of your sad existence, trying to pretend that you won't disappear...But you will. Time doesn't stop, and in fact, it only seems to go faster as you age. You are in denial about that.
