I am at a point in my life, where I find it insulting, when a company asks for me to create an account and carry their card.

A gym, that offers a one time entry does not need to know my name. They do not need to identify me for repeated entries.

And slowly, I am starting to enjoy telling people: No. you have just lost a sale. You got too greedy, so you get nothing.......
