why is there an entire anime about DIY? What in the actual fuck? What's the point of it, what's the message? What's the audience for this shit?
Surely, it isn't wish fulfillment because if you want to DIY you can just buy some basic tools and fucking make something. It can't be government propaganda either, unless it's the start of some deep psyop to get more japs into manual labor. You can't market it to regular japs since they despise manual labor and just want to work in offices all day and night.
Hell, it isn't even filling a niche since there already is a DIY, Slice of Life show with adorable kids and a wholesome family message. It's called "Home Improvement" and I bet it's infinitely better than this gay shit.

@nukie
After they made an anime about macroeconomic, there is nothing, that can surprise me anymore.

@LukeAlmighty to be fair, an anime about macroeconomics has real potential to be entertaining. I mean, can you imagine the kinds of offensive jokes you can pull with that subject matter? With DIY on the other hand, the most you can do is show some work related injuries and some cringe-inducing mistakes. There's not too much to do there
@LukeAlmighty fair point, maybe it'll be good. Actually, now I wanna watch it so I will
@LukeAlmighty nevermind, it sucked, it's just another generic Cute Girls Doing Cute Things anime but with a carpentry twist
