@bot @Becassine @mushroom_soup It's not even Autism, it's an un-ironic political position I hold that if a state doesn't have a train line that is clean, beautiful, swift and on-time linking every city together, and each city to the surrounding towns, it's a shithole.

Trains are the grandest form of transport short of sail, can take a huge resource burden off of a nation, interlink everything and exert a eugenic pressure on the obese & stupid that keeps them repressed.

100% agree.
Czech republic used to be such a beautiful country. Then, we sold a few railways to private companies, and the entire country is a shithole now.

I would say the railways are a symptom, but a good canary in the coal mine for the overall state of a country

Is the country capable of doing coordinates long term planning with multiple moving parts towards a common goal for the benefit of citizens? The state of the trains will tell you.
