I played EXAPUNKS mistakenly thinking that it would be an easily accessible game that's for anybody new to programming entirely. I managed to get the first few puzzles solved, but then the sixth one (involving the nerves) just confused me completely. I didn't know that you can't use strings within the EXAs. The hardware registers also confused me (the zine didn't show how to apply them), which made me quit and switch to another Zachtronics game. It looks like this and those other programming games (especially Shenzhen I/O) assume that you have some experience in programming, which I don't have, so I'll have to play them some other time. Maybe I'll have to learn Solitaire, too. Too bad I can't print out a manual for that (yet). It might be fun for you if you're familiar with this, so consider looking into it.
